Me and few of my colleagues decided to drive all the way to Muara Tebas for seafood as we were supposed to go to Buntal. I had not driven to Muara Tebas for quite something except duirng day time to go to the temple so i opt to "carpool" with my colleagues. we went to the corner seafood restaurant which i had forgot the name, the one next to the bridge.

We had spend the weekend at Retreat Resort and before heading back to Kuching, we drove over to Sematan to buy seafood which some claim are cheaper and fresher. Got myself a few fishes which i don't ever know the name and still remain inside my freezer. :)

Since KK is famous for it seafood and such, so most of the night it seafood, seafood and seafood. The sea produce there are fresh and cheap too provided you go when the local go. We were borught to Gaya Seafood at i don't even know where.

By using the Star Ferry, we reach the other side of HK. After a short walk, we reached Harbour City, a super big shopping mall that are far more bigger then Mid Valley. But this is not our destination, so we just skip and went to Avenue of Star.

This ferry is older than me by more than 20 years.

We reach the peak station at around 11 and the distance that we walk that day is like one whole year of walking in Kuching.

Finally, try to find a seat on the right but fail so have to settle at the left, looking at the wall and info boards. So remember next time you go, try to sit at the right for the city view.

We walk through a park or garden that full of Filipino. I think it thier day off every sunday and the police is also presence.

This is the sign that guide us but beware, the place might be located 10-20km from the sign. Standard Chartered Building if i'm not mistaken.

Finally, we reached our destination, thanks to the kind policeman who guide us. The walk from the MTR took us around 10-15 mins with uphill and downhills but luckily the weather is cool and a bit windy. If it is in Kuching, i think we will die of heat already.

On day 4, we all woke early as we need to go find a particular place that serve good dim sum and then headed to The Peak. We use the MTR and reach the station around 5 minutes later. Once we exited from the station, we find it very familiar as the night before we had passed that area when we are exploring around. After searching for the shop for around 20 mins, we gave up and went to Burger King. :)

Hongkong (Day 3) ep3 - Honeymoon Dessert

After walking up and down the steps, we went back to Ngong Ping village to rest our tired feets. Off we go to Honeymoon Dessert as alot of bloggers recommended thier Mango and Durian Pancake.

From what i know, they have quite a few branches in Hongkong, but since we already found one, just makan only la. We ordered Durian and Mango pancakes. Now i regret, should order more... haha

This is the Durian version. I prefered the durian pancake better then the mango as i'm a durian lover. I guess they use Thai durian for it as it doesn't have the strong durian smell. Imagine it, if they use Kuching durian as the filling. I forgot the price for both but if i'm not mistaken, it cost HKD24 per platter. A must go for dessert lover.

Welcome to Ngong Ping Village

An arch welcoming you to the village but i arrived from the other side of the village. There are quite a number of shops there and also two shows if i'm not mistaken, one got to with monkeys and the other one is Walking with Buddha. I skipped both as my taukeh nio wanted to go shopping at Citygate outlet where all international brands like Burberry, Polo, Crocs, LV, Puma etc gather and offer discount up to 70% everyday as it is thier Factory Outlets. Don't be surprise if you see your newly purchased bags, shoes, etc cheaper here than in other parts of hongkong.

Fyi, we travelled back to Citygate Outlet twice, just because the price is cheaper than other parts of Hongkong. :)

I don't know whether this is higher or Batu Cave cos i neve being to Batu Cave before. But i would say, the climb to Tian Tan Buddha is much more comfortable because of the late Spring, not too cold nor hot. Visitors also can opt to have vege meals here and the proceeds will go to the temple but since it a bit pricey, so we also skipped it.

Hongkong (Day 3) ep1 - Ngong Ping 360

Wake up early and make a almost straight line to McDonald Cafe for breakfast. Had some problem communicating with the cashier so in the end, just point what we want. McDonald HK served typical hongkong breakfast like Macroni or Spaghetti with soup and milk tea and also thier signature big breakfast. I wonder when McDonald MY will served Nasi Lemak for breakfast. :)

After breakfast, off we go to the MTR station. We need to change station at Lai King MTR in order to go to our destination which is Tung Chung MTR where the Citygate Outlet and Ngong Ping 360 are located. Fear not, the distance interchange line is just next to each other,both line are in the same platform so no need to walk so far like in KL. Wonder who do the planning for KL system...better learn from HK la...

Finally we reached our Tung Chung MTR after 20 mins, which is way faster then we though and since it Saturday morning, i think alot of Hongkie are still sleeping. Took some time to find Ngong Ping 360 cable car station as the sign is bloody small. :) For those who afraid of height, they can walk / trek up the mountain or they can opt to take the bus but since, we malaysian are used to the Genting antique cable car, this ride should not be a problem.

There are two cabin available which are standard and crystal cabin with a see through floor. We opt for the standard cabin as we are more or less afraid of height. :) The ride take more or less 20 mins and it really high but the ride is smooth and no sound weird sound when going through the suspension pole. We see HKIA on the way up....

Macau and Hongkong (Day 2) ep3 - Mongkok, Ladies Street and also don't know where

'm lost

After reaching Hongkong, we ate then went back to the room to rest. At around 9 something, we went to look for makan makan near Ladies Street. We just walk around until we reach a corner where there are alot of small eat aka hawker. This was the 1st time, we try smelly tofu, curry fish ball and all other things that we always watched in TVB drame.

One of the fav among locals for thier so call Green Tea with Milk and Pearl Milk Tea. We need to Q to order then a number is given to us and we need to wait by the pavement for our drinks that cost HKD$24 each.

The verdict, nothing extra ordinary, cannot compare to 7th mile Teh C Peng and also 3rd Mile Cool Milk Tea. :) I try these two because i read alot of blog on these and also according to the signage, its thier best sellers.

One thing best about Hongkong is that they have a very informative signage but the direction it show can be very faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarr from where you are. After snack sini and sana, off we went back to room to rest for our next day trip to Ngong Ping 360 but i can't sleep the whole night cos of the noise.

Macau and Hongkong (Day 2) ep2 - China Ferry Terminal, Australia Diary Co.

After having breakfast at Senado Square, forgot the name of the shop la, back to the hotel and check out. Then we need to wait for the hotel shuttle bus to the ferry terminal. The journey took around 15 mins and fi nally we reach the ferry terminal, full of casinos promoter from Lisboa, Dream City la and also Venetian.

Then we decide to use 1st Ferry as it destination is at China Ferry Terminal at Tsim Sha Shui which is nearer to where we are staying. The journey took us at least 1 hours and around 20 mins for custom clearing. ;) The ticket cost HKD$140 per person including children from Macau to Hongkong.

After 50 mins or so, Hongkong here we come...

Ahhh...forgot to take pictures of the Ferry terminal but never mind la. Then we went down to the basement to look for a taxi to take us to our hostel which is located at Mongkok and it only cost us HKD$45 and the best part is no need to ask, "Boss, pakai meter ka?" hahaha....

Australia Dairy Co.

After check in and dump our language, off we go for eat eat. 1st stop, Australia Diary Co. or also known as Kowloon Diary located at Jordan. Use exit C2 from MTR Jordan Station. We found it after 5-10 mins and the waiter is super fast and very inpatient which i think they want to get you in and out in the shortest time possible. As i don't read chinese, i just point to the next table of what they having.

All set meal come with Milk Tea. The eggs and soup spaghetti is yummy but the environment is a let down as sit and eat also must be fast fast one...The bill come up around HKD$98 for 2 set A, 1 set B plus one milk pudding. quite expensive but this is Hongkong, everything expensive one...

For those who was asking mana i stay during my trip, and since i only allocated a limited budget on accomandation, as i'm not a person who spend most of my time in the room. My conditions are that the room must be clean (toilet also) and near to MTR and places of interests.

In Macau, i stay at Metropole Hotel (RM240 per night) @ Macau Island, near Grand Lisboa, Senado Square, Ruin's of St Paul and so on. :)

In Hongkong, i stay at Dragon Hostel (RM140 per night) @ Mongkok, near MTR and opposite Ladies Street.

In ShenZhen, i stay at Sunon Villa (RM170 per night) @ Dongmen, just next to Dongmen Street where it is lady heaven plus next to the ShenZhen MTR station.

* one thing that i don't understand is why all the beds in Macau and ShenZhen, hard like sleeping on a papan.

We arrived at Macau International Airport around 10pm and the temp drop to 17 plus windy too. Feel like genting... The security was quite tight but the customs go easy with Malaysian, pity those China men who before the plane landed already getting ready to alight from the plane. Typical chinese from mainland.. This is the most unpleasant flight that i ever on as those mainland chinese just yak yak none stop for 4 hours straight and not pai seh one. damn tulan....

After our supper at McD, we went out for a walk. Just cincai walk here and there cos i don't plan to stay at Macau for too long. We walked to Grand Lisboa, then back to Senado Square without knowing it until the next morning. This is what you get when you don't read the signbaord.... If i had known earlier, i will have night photo of St Paul's. aiyah....

Just returned from my 9 days trip to Macau - Hongkong - ShenZhen. Took the evening flight from Kuching to Macau with AirAsia and reach Macau at around 9 something. Cold and windy but Macau is really beautiful with all the neon lights and casinos plus hotels.

Once, we reached our hotel at Macau Island from the airport, we straight straight go McD for supper. Damn hungry cos AirAsia's nasi lemak not cukup to eat. McD in Hongkong, Macau and China all serve porks... yummy.

After visiting KL Tower (my 1st time and why my phone no coverage on top of the tower ha?), we went to KLCC to meet up with my colleagues from KL HQ for lunch. So we went to Little Penang Kafe for lunch.

I used to frequent Petanak Market when i was in the college day as alot of freinds like to go there to drink the "Kam Cha Peng" , Air Tebu or Sugar Cane. The motif behind there is to go there and look at one of the drink stall taukeh daughter. ;p

There are alot of variety of food there from western to chinese but wonder why there is no malay food. ;p

Went to this place not toooo long ago after a recomendation from my x-colleague. The place look cosy and very quiet with quite a nice service. It look like the place is an ex bird nest processing, selling and serv bird nest but not quite sure whether it is still operational. :)

Finally, everything is solved and solved. Laptop still acting a bit weird and the premium mouse just gone case. :( It take 3-4 days for my e-mail to sync completely with the server and thanks to TM for thier bloody slow internet line whether on streamyx and lease line.

At least Dxxx change every parts in my laptop to avoid any more problems except the display panel and the alloy casing. ;p. Will be back soon as got alot of out dated pictures to post.

It being 3 years or more since me and wifey went for a movie. So last weeked, we decided to go watch movie with little monster. 1st plan to watch James Bond but in the end we watch Madagascar 2. We felt being cheated as the movie story line is almost the same with Lion King. &*^%$#@!...

The last day in KL, in the morning we went for the laksa at Pavilion and for lunch/tea time, we went for the Mr Teppanyaki. We never try this outlet before after so many years passign by as we always go the Teppanyaki @ Sungai Wang. So we decided to try it and IMHO is not that nice compare to Teppanyaki @ Sundai Wang. One good point is that the presentation is much much better maybe because it is located at Lot 10. :)

7 -up not much money left, so settle for one glass only. ;p

On the last day of our trip, we went back to Pavilion for breakfast. We still not sure what to have at the Food Republic and eventually we settled down at Laksa Shack. They served alot of type of Laksa from Melaka, Kelatan and Sarawak. We skipped Sarawak Laksa cos it does not look like Sarawak Laksa. ;p Sarawak Laksa where got served with tauhu one.... the original Sarawak Laksa come with chicken meat, egg and big prawn. heheh...

The 3 of us went for the Haazen Dazs Chocolate Fondue after reading about it in numerous blogs. So "die die" must go and try. We were walking around in Mid Valley when we saw a group of people was having it so we know that they have it. As according to some, not all Haagen Dazs outlets in KL are offering it.

1) 12 scoopes of mini ice cream. Sadly, we are not allowed to choose the flavours. Come with 4 mini scoopes of Chocolate, Vanilla, Raspberry and the other if i remeber correctly is coffee.

2) Chocolate Chips cookies, butter cakes, chocolate rolls and walnuts.

3) Fruit Platter - Strawberry, Banana and Green Apple

Dip the ice cream into the choclate and coat it with the walnuts. Delicious.. look almost the same with Wall Mini Poopers. ;p but the taste and price tag is a HUGE different...

Haagen Dazs Chocolate Fondue

Price tag come around RM70++ but worth it. The only problem we have is trying to finish it off by the two of us as lil monster "jump ship" half way. We don't quite understand why lil monster don't like Baskin Robbins', New Zealand Nature's, or Haagen Dazs' ice cream. She just lick lick and bite bite then don't want anymore. But instead she prefer those ciplak ice cream. maybe not sweet enough gua?

In the end, we settle at Tony Roma. After we went in, we feel a bit out of place as every patrons are wearing quite formal attire while we just wearing what a travelers wear with khakis, t-shirt, sport shoe and a backpack. ;p

Quite tired on the second day, so we just take our time to wake up as we are on holiday lo. No need to rush. After that, we took our sweet time to go to First World Cafe for our breakfast and luckliy we had avoided the crowd as they "shoo" us into another level with much much less people. ;p

Genting Highland - First World Plaza

After check in, we just take a bath, rest for a while ans then we proceed to First World Plaza to spend moneys. We go mostly for the family rides like the Reindeer, The Float, Monorail and Snow World. Well, we have to lie abit of lil monster age as the minimum age is 3 years old but lil monster is around 2 years 7 months. We have fun in the Snow World but the snow look dirty. ;p

I tried the Extreme Cresta Run Toboggan slide and the 1st time come into my mind is i gonna die. hahaha.... Camera are not allowed in the Snow World thus we need to engage the photograher which cost us RM30 for 2 poses with 1 large print and 1 small print which is quite ok. So we get all the 4 poses thus made me poorer by RM60.

We were using the Genting Bus to reach the cable car station which around 2 hours because the driver drive very slow. Once reach the cable car station, we quick quick go to top floor.

Sit on the wrong side. Instead of facing up, we sit at the back. Since there were quite alot of ppl, so better get on it quick or traffic jammed.

This is how lil monster face look like on her 1st cable car ride. ;p

Nice view...but scary also because of the sudden gust of wing.

Finally after 3-5 mins, we saw Genting ... then we kenak stuck at Genting 1st World check in counter. Refer here. Was so fusturated then i forgot to take photo of our dinner... ;(

Arrive in KLIA around 10.30am as we ware flying with MAS 737. Then we proceed to Burger King for breakfast as the inflight meal was terrible. They served very dry kaya bun and kosong bun with strawberry jam. Lil monster was enjoying the meal thou as she like kaya.

Currently blogging in the KLIA Express using MAXIS bordband. We are now on the way to KLIA. We have a nice holiday and tiring time. I should have booked the return ticket on friday to avoid the crowd of Malaysia Mega Sale. KL Monorail was packed like sardines with inconsiderate ppl who just cut queue, bum here and there and don't care the sh*t about lil children.

Luckily we met quite a few good ppl who help us to carry lil monster stroller down the stair case at the monorail station.

*yawn* still wanna sleep. The last few days was so tiring that we slept till 10 am yesterday. Currently still in the hotel as lil monster is unwell with coughing and running nose due to the cold weather in Genting or Snow World. ;p

Beside from that, we have a lovely time in Genting with family rides which scare the hell out of me and wifey but lil monster is still enjoying herself. We go for the Rio Float, Reindeer somethng and the monorail.

Maxis broadband perform very well in KL but suck in Kuching. hahaha... but it drain my laptop battery very fast. need to find a power point soon.

Guess what?? MAXIS BROADBAND...Speed is slower then Stremayx thou but good for ppl who need to check thier e-mails 24/7. ;p Something that i can't seem to fully understand in thier clause of use. The package is unlimited data so that mean i can use as much as i want right? No... it stated that they have the right to cap the usage ifusage for one month is more than 3GB. ;)

RasaMas is around for quite sometime already at West MY but only recently it spread it wing here. I being to their restaurant at Mid Valley but never yet try the restaurant here until recently. We order 1 set of Ayam Roaster Percik that come with garlic bread, coleslaw, 1/4 chicken, wedges and choice of mushroom sauce.

Second set of Ayam Percik as the 1st set does not come with the mushroom sauce and the manager replace with a new set. ;p So we get to eat 2 sets of Ayam Percik at RasaMas.

Road Trip to Camp Permai (1)

We went for a road trip to Camp Permai yesterday. It was unplanned trip as we were not sure where to go.

Check Tires Pressure and condition before hitting the road. ;p

on the way!!!drive within the speed limit??? nope... our National Speed Limit is 70 km/h.

Paid the Entrance fees. RM5 each. I was curious how come some people don't bother to pay the entrance fee.

Here we are... nice weather. Not too hot. Look like other people have the same idea as well. ;)

Can't see the peak of Mount Santubong. Covered by cloud.

Recently, we went to My Restaurant for dinner after i went there for lunch with my ang moh expat colleagues. My wifey say she want to try too cos we always go to Cravery so we need to change taste too.

We went to try the Ipoh Town Kopitiam last sat at Boulevard. I did not try their breads or the white coffee as it is more or less lunch hours. Maybe the next time i go, i will try their coffee and breads. The Nisin noodle and chicken rice are no comments but i will not order it again.

I know that i seldom update my blog these day cos of busy schedules of meetings, meetings and meetings. After working hours, i don't have any mood to do anything except sleeping. But i just can't get myself to sleep early. I need sleep and go for holiday!!!!

Just can't wait till next month for my holiday. I got myself MAS tickets. :p
So i'm going to fly MAS instead of AirAsia.

Being there for lunch as i'm sending my car for it quaterly tyre rotation at the corner tyre shop. My friend recommended the porkchop rice with balck pepper and we also order some side dishes.

Being so busy with works lately and i had not time to update my blog. Being to the Spring last weekend for some Hickory Wood. Surprisingly, the "Q" is not that long about 3-4 persons so i join in the "Q" to get some of the so famous donuts in Kuching.

For the price of RM12 for 1/2 donuts, it quite cheap compare to some of the donuts that are sold at the bakery around Kuching. I get the Chocolate topping, Alien, Choreo, Mango (which is not that nice cos can't feel the mango flavour), sesame with choc and green tea.

Pork Soup Mee at Pending

My brother had being telling us how delicious is the mee at Pending. The shop is located on the corner shop on the same row as a bakery with name of Big World Bakery or something like that. I forgot the name of the coffee shop but it is the shop lot before the turning to tol bridge if you come from the toyota showroom.

The pork meat texture is just like fish meat. ;p

EDIT: It on the same shoplot as BM MEYER on your right if you are coming from the city heading to the to Pending just before the Zecon Toll Bridge.
